4 Generations of Peace Through Tyranny!

Here I have brought together the 4 Megatrons that have been unleashing their respective brands of havoc to the world of the Transformers over the past 2 decades. In the front is the original Megatron from Generation 1. Behind him and to the right is the Megatron from Transformers: Armada. In the upper left is Megatron from Robots in Disguise. And finally, in the background looms the Beast era's Megatron, shown here in his big floating head form as seen in the second season of Beast Machines.

It was finished towards the end of the Spring in 2003, right before my birthday. I did this especially for an art contest taking place on The Allspark message board. I lost, and yes, I'm a little bitter about it. Though it was generally well received by the patrons, especially other artists. I wish I had some more time to clean it up a bit. I worked really hard on this and stayed up late to finish by the deadline, and hurt my wrist pretty badly in the process.

I take several style liberties with the characters when I draw them. Things like crazy mouths, eyes of drastically different sizes, and weird proportions. These are 100% intentional. Some people just don't seem to like, or even understand, what I do and why I do it. I've thought about doing some more mainstream style art, but I also like this style too much.

I tragically lost the original Photoshop file of this image due to some computer problems, so what you see here isn't the best possible quality of image that I wanted. Sorry.

Here is a rough layout that I pieced together before I did a clean pencil retrace.
