Sit, Boy!

Inu Yasha

Another piece from my Summer anime painting class in 2004, the other being Shaman King. I went for a green colour scheme in this case, since green is the commentary colour to Inu Yasha's red costume, and it creates an interesting misty natural landscape feel in the background.

Like my other paintings, this was done on cold press illustration board using water colour paints and coloured pencils. I usually have to do some tweaking in Photoshop to improve the colours when I scan the painting into the computer, but in this case it came out looking particularly dull on the screen and I had to spend a long time making the image on screen appear closer to the actual painting. It looks so much better in person.
