I Hate Bein' a Grunt!

Here's a quick little doodle of the fan favorite Omnicon from Transformers Energon, Strongarm. I drew him up one night just for fun, using the toy as a reference and interpreting certain things a little differently just for the hell of it. I changed the proportions of the Energon Axe to make it look bigger and more formidable, and added some expression in his face. Makes him kind of look like the Transformers equivalent of a dwarf.

I liked the drawing enough to slap some quick colours on, again just for fun. I had just gotten an LCD monitor and was having a very hard time setting it up so that the colours looked like they're supposed to. I honestly had no idea if this was any good or not! In fact, I'm still not quite so sure. It may be too dark or too light, I can't tell. There's quite a bit that could be better, but since it was such a quick job I'm not really concerned. But I shared it on the Iacon Art Gallery at The Allspark, knowing that Strongarm has a lot of fans there, and the response I got for this piece was very positive. So I'll take their word for it!
