From the world famous Nintendo games come Super Mario and Princess Peach!
Now this artwork has an interesting story behind it.
The concept here is that Mario has taken Peach by the hand and pulled her out onto the field so he can finally show her all the trouble he has to go through to save the day. Kind of a romantic gesture. How a terrible creature like me ever came up with such a sweet idea, I do not know. There are some flaws but it was a fun piece to work on at the time.
What is really interesting is that there's something of a secret to this artwork. You see, the original artwork was not really about Mario and Peach. It was two real people dressed as Mario and Peach! I was actually commissioned to draw this picture for someone who wanted to give a gift to his friends, a couple of Nintendo fans who were getting married. I drew their faces on Mario and Peach's bodies. Once I was finished and the final image was submitted, I changed their faces back into Mario and Peach so I could show it to all the other Nintendo fans out there.
