Prince Planet

Fall 2009, Photoshop. Fan art of Prince Planet, a 1960's Japanese anime tv series that was dubbed in English. It's quite entertaining to watch these earliest examples of Japanese animation to see where anime really came from. It's silly by today's standards in many ways, but the roots are there and there was still some heavy stuff for kids to chew on back then. Catchy theme song too. Look into it. Kept the black and white theme of show by "coloring" using only gray and then adding a grainy touch of sepia for that retro charm. © MGM Back to Illustration.
