Silverbolt and Jetstorm

I love the Beast era of Transformers. The characters, the animation, the writing, all of it. Here's a piece of art that represents one of my favourite angles from that time. From Beast Wars, we had the noble and heroic Maximal warrior Silverbolt, who was always serious and sought the best in everyone, even villains like Blackarachnia. Then in Beast Machines, Jetstorm, the sickeningly evil Vehicon general with the disturbing sense of humor. But they were totally the same guy!
I did this in December of 2002 based on a friend's request. Rough pencil line work with Photoshop colouring via my digital drawing tablet. I really like how sinister Jetstorm looks, and how Silverbolt looks very proud yet a bit dopey, like he is totally unaware of the potential for evil that lurks within him.
