Anime Style Elves

I'm not really into fantasy stuff or role playing games, but I thought I'd give drawing some elves in an anime style a try, as they're quite a popular subject. The male is a serious warrior type, while the girl is a playful magical type. I threw in a flying cat-type creature for good measure. The inking style is a bit more intricate than my usual stuff, but it seemed to fit the fantasy genre very well. Much of the reference I used came from one of Chris Hart's anime books, as I didn't have a whole lot of that sort of thing around., nor did I think I could come up with costumes and weaponry myself.

While this was a fairly quick job all things considered, I do have to say that I'm impressed with myself that I was able to capture such personality in drawing what were essentially throw-away characters.
