Fire Dragon

Here's the first of the Dragons I drew. This is also one of the first drawings I did in this rough pencil style. The whole idea is that this dragon is bursting forth from this volcano, as if it were trapped inside.

Looking back I wish I had made the rock a lot thicker, but I'm still fairly happy with it. I really like the fire it's breathing. It looks more like gasoline that has been lit on its way out of the mouth and not like a big cartoonish fireball. I'd figure if Dragons were real the fire would look more like I've done it here. It was totally added in Photoshop, as were the flames at the bottom.

I can't remember when I finished this one, but it was one of my first big Photoshop projects, before I had gotten the super-computer I'm using now.
