Alien Samurai

Yep, this is a samurai, who is also an alien, who is also from England.

In the Summer of 2005 I was commissioned to create this illustration for a client. I'm not sure how much I am able to talk about in that regard right now, but I'll say that this client wanted something that was both futuristic and samurai inspired, and together this is the character we came up with. Because this client was from England, I gave this character the Union Jack as a samurai battle flag.

It was made with Photoshop and Streamline. The client was very happy with this artwork. But I don't know what has happened with it since. If I ever find out then perhaps I will rewrite this entry and go into greater detail.

Here's some of the preliminary rough sketches that were done as part of the design process which eventually led up to the final product.
