Dragons and swords and skulls. Cool.

Medieval Pattern

This was done as an assignment for a 2D Design class in my first year at the Ontario College of Art and Design. The task was something about simplification on forms in order to make a primitive pattern, like a cave painting, using one organic object and two other smaller objects. I suppose that I took things in a slightly different direction. I still got a decent mark though, and the rest of the students seemed to have liked it.

The textures were added just for fun and as sort of a Photoshop experiment. It wasn't part of the assignment. I did make one mistake, however, regarding the colours. We were supposed to be limited to 3 colours on the objects. Because the teacher considered black to be a colour, I technically used 4. Oh well. Last time I'd ever make that mistake.
